Political Beliefs
I believe...
That all men are created equal,
That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
That among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
I believe in less government…lower taxes…and personal freedom.

I believe that when it comes to addressing the needs of those who are suffering due to crime, poverty or illness, results are much more important than intentions.  We need to adopt solutions that elevate their condition not simply alleviate our guilt.

I believe that life is a precious gift that should be protected, be it inside of the womb or outside of the womb.

I believe that religion and morality are indispensable supports for our form of government.  In the absence of the self-regulation fostered by these supports, we will fall down the slippery slope of having to increase the number and complexity of laws that regulate our behavior.  This progression will strangle us under a regulatory burden that will jeopardize the fundamental rights that our system of government is intended to protect.

I believe that our schools need to teach an appreciation for our American heritage and the ideals upon which our country was formed.

I believe that serving in the public trust is a sacred duty that needs to be honored when no one is looking and when everyone is looking.
