Patrick Colbeck was born and raised in Michigan. He has been a resident of Canton, MI for 13 years with his college sweetheart and wife, Angie, to whom he has been married for 14 years. He attended high school at Detroit Catholic Central and graduated from the University of Michigan with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Aerospace Engineering. In addition to his degreed curriculum, he has also studied at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Michigan State University, and the International Space University in Strasbourg, France.
His mother, Barbara, was an organist and music director from 8th grade until her passing from cancer in August of 2008. His father, Bill, has been on the leading edge of technology since the late 1960’s as a programmer, analyst and project leader throughout his career with Detroit Diesel and Ford Motor Company. He is now the small business owner of a Computer Troubleshooters franchise in Livonia, MI and serves on the board of directors for the Livonia Chamber of Commerce.
Patrick has two younger siblings, Chris and Cheri. Chris and his family live in St. Clair Shores, MI, while Cheri and her family live in southern Florida.

Mr. Colbeck has more than 20 years of professional experience spanning a wide variety of industries including Aerospace, Defense, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Automotive, Information Technology, and Financial Services. He has been sharing this experience as an independent management consultant while President of Perspective Shifts, LLC since 2004. In 2007, he formed a web hosting services company called Tek Made Easy to support these activities. Prior to his entrepreneurial pursuits, his professional pursuits included designing elements of the environmental control and life support system and Quest airlock module (see photo) for the International Space Station. During his tenure with Boeing, he also served as a regular lecturer at Space Camp in Huntsville, AL.

Mr. Colbeck now applies his passion for advanced engineering to improving the performance of businesses and communities through information technology. He has been certified by Microsoft as a Small Business Specialist. In 2006 he authored and published the book Information Technology Roadmap for Professional Service Firms, which is designed to help small businesses ease onto the information highway.
In addition to these pursuits, Mr. Colbeck is a member of the Northville and Canton Chambers of Commerce and serves the community as Treasurer of the Canton Charter Academy Board. He and his wife attend Northridge Church in Plymouth, MI. He is also honored to serve with his wife as Outreach Coordinator for Good News! Via de Cristo.
